Other Cards that I have done

I love making these little cards. I didn't think that I could have this much fun making tiny pieces of art. It is wonderful! I am waiting for my Tim Burton cards to dry, then I will post those too. Cant wait!

Tea Mice Series

These are the cards that I did for my very first swap. They are made from looking at my original drawings, and cutting out different patterned paper to create a kind of scene for each one. The sweet sugar bowl is the host's card. The swap was to make "Tea for two" by doing two cards with cups and one with the tea pot. The hostess card was an extra to thank her for hosting this swap meet. We will see if I did every thing right. I hope I don't mess it up. I have two more swaps that I enrolled myself in as well. One is Tim Burton themed. Has to be drawn or painted, or a combination of the two. A 3/3 swap. This one is proving to be rather hard though, so we will see how well i do in that one. The other is Whimsical Skellies which is not due until Sept. I will be sure to post them then. Anyway, it is late and I am going to have visitors in the morning. Fill you in when I get updates!

Success!

These are the first cards I have been asked to swap. The first two are going to a woman in Oklahoma and the other two are going all the way to Finand! I can't believe it. I recently joined the website atcsforall.com and uploaded my finished ATCs. The very next day I had a personal message from Senna. She is the lady from Finland. She told me that she liked my cards and asked if I would like to trade with her. After browsing through her gallery, which is full of beautiful cards, I said of course I would trade with her. Then Sue from Oklahoma asked if I would do a trade with her too. Wow! I am really excited to do these trades. I send them in the mail tomorrow. The colors on the original cards are way more vibrant than these. I don't know why the scanner is making them look so dull.

So if you are interested in the art of ATCs you should check out this website. It is free to join and to trade your work. They also have a monthly contest, and organized swaps going all the time. The website again is www.atcsforall.com Seriously, check it out!

On a side note, I am going to try to post some of my other art work on here as well, so if you are looking this blog up from a card you recieved don't be thrown off by some of the work you see here. It isn't all ATCs.

I can't wait to get the cards back from my very first swap. I am really exited. Tea for two. I will upload the pics of those next time.
Until next time... signing off.

Welcome!

Allow me to introduce myself. I am a woman of peace and beauty. I do my artwork in between chasing my two year old son around the house, and school. I am new to the art of ATCs.

For those who do not know what that stands for, ATC means Artist Trading Card. These are small pieces of art that measure 2.5X3.5 inches, meant for trading with other artists. You can trade with your neighbor or someone from across the world. This is a fairly new kind of art, only having been around for about 12 years now.

I am creating this blog to display not only my ATCs but eventually pages of my sketch book, photographs that I have taken, and other such interesting things. I will try to keep this updated almost weekly. Wish me luck.

NOTE: If you are interested in doing a swap with me, reply to the most recent posts and we can try to set something up. Thanks for visiting my blog!
